Deeper Underground

I heard the intro to Jamiroquai's song 'Deeper Underground', and this is what happened.

What I had in my head was ever-so-slightly different to the fininshed pic, but I'm still not that great at backgrounds If you've ever read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, then you might understand what I wanted to achieve, a kind on underground London, full of dark, damp alleyways and ramshackle dwellings. But like I said, I suck, so this will have to do.

I also wanted to give the impression that Raen's (yep, its him, again) wings were kind of broken, and falling apart, maybe a little diseased as well, but I think I just made them look messy...never mind . I was playing around with light and shadow, seeing what I could do with just copic markers...that could also have gone better. And I discovered I can't draw blood either, yay.

I always find that scanning pics makes the colours go wrong, coz the wings are darker than that. Oh well.

Isn't it amazing that if you look at a pic long enough, you grow to detest it.
